So, I figure it’s best to begin at the beginning.  I arrived in this world with an exceeding amount of structural privilege.  I am a white, straight, cis-gendered male born to wealthy parents with post-graduate educations.  Thanks in so small part to the benefits adhering to this profoundly advantaged constellation of identities, I have had access to excellent educational and professional opportunities (not that I’ve taken much advantage of the latter category).
